Healthyish snacks :)

So we all get hungry for a quick snack between meals! I used to find when I got home from work from when dinner used to be, that was the time I would usually feel peckish and need a snack to keep me going. Back in my heavier days I used to snack on bags of crips and biscuits......Not good!!

So loosing weight and trying to keep it off, snacking on the right things is a key way to keep the weight off. So I try to keep snacking down to a minimum, and if I have to have to eat sometime to keep me ticking over here's the snacks I will tend to go for.

1. Usually go for a cream cracker or two, just plain ones they seem to keep my cravings at bay for a little while if i'm waiting for dinner.

2. Frozen grapes are a great idea for healthy snack, infact you can do this with most fruits, I just find grapes the most satisfiying to eat. As they take so long to eat it feels like you've eaten loads, which again makes you feel full.

3. I always used to have a pudding after dinner this is something I do miss and do have from time to time. My choice for a pudding these days if I have to have one, is ceareal. Usually go for coco pops as then I get the taste for something chocolatey.

4. If you feel you must have a chocolate bar, and believe me i've had those times! I mean when a girl needs chocolate she needs it!!!! I always go for a small 2 finger Kit Kat or a Curly Wurly. They were always the healthier less pointed chocolate option on the weight watcher plan so that's what I stuck with.

5. Going to the cinema and really really want a snack, well instead of going for a bag of pic n mix or a massive bag of chocolates, go for some popcorn.
You can get all different falavours these days, sweet, salt, sour cream and chive, I even saw pulled pork the other day!

Let me know you're healthy snacks as I would love to know what other people are snacking on when their cravings kick in?!

Where it all began!!!

So it all started when I was at work with one of my colleagues and she said to me, 'so you fancy giving weight watchers a try with me this week?' She had been before a couple of years ago and wanted to get back on it! I wasn't really fussed and thought it was just another fad diet. But I thought why not give it a go, nothing to loose. (no pun indended)
So we went down to weight watchers that week, got all signed up and ready to stand on the scales bearing in mind I hadn't stepped foot on scales for years as is just rather not know what my weight was!

So it turns out I weighed 19st 4lbs!!!!
This to me was shocking!! I couldn't believe it.
So got my pack given to me and was ready to give weight watchers a chance! I loved that you could still eat what you wanted but you'd have to really think about how many points you'd be left with for the rest of the day!
So the first week was tough to get into a routine of things, especially when I used to eat a whole pack of chocolate digestives to myself some nights! Then went for my second weigh in and lost 5lbs in one week!! This just spurred me on to want to loose my weight! So continued to do so!

I wasn't doing any exercise just changing how I ate and it was dropping off me! I would love the feeling it gave me seeing the scales saying something smaller! My family and friends are so proud of me and say I look amazing all the time and it's such a confidence boost! So after two years of weight watchers I'm now on my current weight of 12 stone 12.9lbs!!

I still would like to get down to my healthy BMI which it 12 stone and I know I can do it with weight watchers! I've recently been on holiday to Barcelona and wore a bikini on the beach for the first time, it was a scary time for me, but I managed it! It's also such a good feeling when you can buy clothes in a smaller size, I did for a while still pick up the bigger sizes even though I wasn't that size anymore!
I've never been happier than I am today and that's all down to starting weight watchers

Strawberry & kiwi ice lolly's

You will need......
Ice lolly sticks
Strawberry squash
One kiwi
Water
Ice lolly mould

First things first, you need to half fill your lolly mould with strawberry squash, and slice up a kiwi and add them to the squash in the moulds, then put in freezer for about 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes is up add tap water to fill the moulds, then back in the freezer for an hour.

Then the final step is after an hour in the freezer add the lolly sticks and they should be able to stay up in the moulds as the partly frozen!

Then finally leave them to set over night!

My Weight loss so far!

So since October last year I joined Weight watchers as it got to the point where I was starting to get worried about my weight and my family were mentioning to me that i have gained loads of weight! That really did hit home! While i was with my ex boyfriend i gained at least two stone, as i was comfortable in that relationship i did eat allot more and wasn't that bothered about what and how much i was eatting!

I wanted to do a blog post about my weight loss as i want it to inspire people to loose weight if there struggling to.
Weight watchers is such a great system and you feel like such a sense of proudness when stepping on the scales and loosing your first ever pound!

So when i joined in October last year my weight came in at a MASSIVE 19 stone and 4 pounds!! Which i was shocked by and knew it was time to start doing something about it.

Weight watchers works by a points system and depending on your current weight and height will depend on how many daily points you are aloud. I was aloud 44 daily points. When you start to loose weight your point will get reduced.
When you join weight watchers you get given a pack with a folder and steps of how everything works, you also download an app on your phone to help you track everything your eatting and each thing you eat will come up with how many points it is, then will take it off your daily points.

Each week you go to your local weight watchers meeting and get weighed, my first week of being on weight watchers i lost 5 pounds!! Which i was sooo happy with!
Its very been really hard being on weight watchers i didnt really feel like i was on a diet, which is something i didnt want to feel.

So each week goes by and i loose 3 pounds one week 2 pounds another week, sometimes i stayed the same weight which i didnt mind as long as i didnt gain any weight i was happy. I did find it hard at home when we have cakes and chocolate in the house, but i found different treats for me to snack on. Curly Wurlys were on 3 points so would always have them, and Kelloggs rice crispy squares were also 3 points so would have them too! They were some of my sweet treats.

My current weight is now 15 stone and 7 pounds! So thats nearly 4 stone in 8 months!
Ive never been happier! I can see it my clothes now and around my tummy area! Its crazy, and anyone can do this!
Heres a picture of my before and after for some inspiration!
Good luck for anyone who wants to loose weight as i know how hard it can be!
But if you want something so much i know you can do it!

James Brown salt spray review!

I've been after a salt spray for a while now, just for a bit more texture in my hair and not so flat! So I came across this James Brown one in boots, it was quite pricey but then again most of them are.
It's £7.99 from boots, and seems to do the job, I but waves on my hair using straighteners and then instead of using hairspray I just do a couple of squirts of the salt spray and then scrunch it up in the ends of my hair and it will hold all day!  The only down fall about this product is that when it squirts out it comes out pretty quick and fast. Apart from that it does the job, and I would recommend it!

Sleek Matte Me lipsticks

Could not believe my eyes when i saw these on the sleek section in Superdrug!!!
I love a matte finish to the lips so these were amazing for me.
Sleek is a brand you can find in Superdrug or online, and there so affordable retailing at only £4.99 each!! AMAZING!!

They come in 6 shades ranging from purple to red.
The only down fall on this product is that you need to do a lip scrub on the lips before hand as they are very matte.
The pigment of these are amazing.....if you like bright colours you'll love these!
Colour stay really well also i had to scrub to get mine off.
So what you waiting for go and get yourself one!!

To go buy them online

New bits & bobs!

A few new bits!

1. Bumble and bumble texture cream! This is stuff is amazing if youve got flat straight hair and want a bit of volume! This product has great hold to it and will last all day. You don't need much on your hand either so it will last for ages! Its quite sticky but thats what gives it the hold.
I rate it 8/10

2. Real Techniques Core collection Brushes!
Best brushes ive ever used! The buffing brush it so good at buffing in your foundation. The pointed foundation brush is great for blending under the eyes aswell! I rate them 10/10

3. Urban Decay Naked Pallet 2
This is soooo value for money! You get 12 shades in this, and there all such lovely shades! There all so pigmented aswel the only thing i dont like to much is there isn't many matte shades in this pallet i think theres only two, dont get me wrong i love all the glittery ones just like matte ones a bit more, so im tempted to buy the new naked basics pallet!
I rate this 7.5/10

4. illamasqua highlighter in Gleam
I cant say enough nice things about this highlighter, its amazing its a cream highlighter its so flattering once on the skin just gives you a nice healthy glow. Its worth every penny!
I rate this 10/10

Hope you enjoyed this mini review.

Hask argen oil

Hair oil in PRIMARK!!!!

I've been meaning to review this for some time, so here goes.
I came across this argen oil at the till point in primark and was only £2.50, so I thought why not try it! And it doesn't disappoint I've re purchased it 3 times now, I mostly use it after I've washed my hair not everytime I wash my hair but in moderation.
I couldn't believe the smell of this oil, it smells like Terry's chocolate orange which is a major plus!! I apply the oil when my hairs wet mainly on the ends of my hair as that's the driest part, you only need a small amount in the palm of your hand as small as a 2p piece, then put heat protecter on then blowdry and the oil leaves me hair feeling so soft and shiny! For £2.50 it's an absolute bargain!!

Loreal Feria

Lilac Loreal Feria Review

Finally done it and plucked up the courage to dye my hair with this Loreal Feria toner. So the toner comes with gloves which are sooo small and i ended up nearly ripping them trying to get them on! The bottle it quite big, bigger than i expected which is always good, although i could of done with more as my hair is so thick.
So once i applied the toner i combed it through is it was covered evenly. Then wait 15 minutes although i waited about 30 minutes i always add on extra time to when dying hair
After 30 minutes i rinsed it off and then shampooed it as well, the feeling after you've dried it is really nice and smooth.
The overall finish was ok not as lilac as i thought it would be but more of a ashy blonde colour with hints of lilac, i quite like it, i didnt want a bold lilac anyway. I do feel like i could of left it a bit longer than 30 minutes just for a bit more lilac colour.
Heres some pictures of before and after and during.

Personal stylist

Asos personal stylist....

Just a quick update about how much i am loving asos.com right now. I was recently on the website looking for an outfit for a night out for one of my friends birthdays and this tiny little box popped up asking me if i wanted a personal shopper help.
My instant thought was HELL yes!! This is amazing, as much as i love shopping online this one say i was looking it felt like id been searching for a dress forever! So this stylist popped up from the bottom right hand corner of my screen on the asos website, it was very much like facebook chat, he asked me what i was looking for and what my style is and size was.
Then next thing you know he's posting me links of the exact thing i was hoping for.
In the end i ended up buying what the stylist suggested, so to me it seemed to work and i think its a great idea for people who cant take the time or lazy people like me to have someone else search for you!
Happy shopping people
